Sudden Hearing Loss After Covid-19

The first case of sudden hearing loss due to Covid-19 infection was reported in the United Kingdom and doctors are urging people to become aware of the symptom because prompt treatment could partially or completely reverse the hearing loss.
While it was reported that it is uncommon, doctors warned that if the hearing loss remains undetected and subsequently untreated, the damage is less likely to be reversible.
The case study was published in the British Medical Journal Case Reports.
It is strongly recommended that if you or your loved one has been diagnosed with Covid-19 and experience changes in your hearing, contact an audiologist to have your hearing tested immediately.
