What is an Auditory Processing Disorder?

- It's what we do with what we hear

- It occurs when a person has normal hearing

- There is a 'glitch' or 'scrambling' in the processing of sound

e.g. 'How are a couch and chair alike' can be processed as 'How are a cow and hair alike?'

- The person may have difficulty following conversations in noise, poor musical skills, reading and spelling problems, misunderstands messages and have difficulty paying attention

Auditory Processing Disorders can be treated once diagnosed. Contact us on 079 265 0487 or varsha.sthf@gmail for a consultation.
